Audition room

Every style button has three states.

  1. 1. Unloaded — how every button starts. Nothing has been sung yet.
  2. 2. Preloaded — hold a press on an unloaded button for a second or so. It turns black straight away, which just means it has started loading, and then turns red when the style is loaded and ready. You can have as many preloaded styles on the page as you like, so preload everything you want to compare first.
  3. 3. Auditioning — hold down a red, preloaded button for as long as you want to hear it. Only one style auditions at a time, and the sound stops the moment you let go.

Set the singer and tempo once — they apply to every audition on this page.

Singer

Blend two styles

Pick any two styles — built-in, your own, or an artist template — and hear them played evenly against each other. Same hold-to-preload, hold-to-play behaviour as every other button on this page.

Audition singers

Hear the same taster sung by each stock voice before you settle on the singer for an act. Same hold-to-preload, hold-to-play behaviour as the style buttons.

Artists as styles — model on someone

Name an artist or a song and it becomes a style button of its own, sitting alongside the genres. Add as many as you like and audition them against each other. Each one is researched into concrete production words first, which you can edit.

My styles — build your own

If none of the genres fit, describe the band yourself: which instruments play, how they play, and how it should be recorded. Saved styles stay in this browser and appear everywhere a style can be chosen.
